September 16 is National Guacamole Day! That was a few days ago, but it took me a few days to track down my friend’s recipe and buy the ingredients for the best guacamole in the world – just in time for the weekend. Thanks for sharing your coveted recipe, Karyn/K-Fizzle*!
BEST GUACAMOLE EVER: GUAC O’ K-FIZZLE
When K-Fizzle makes guac, she goes all out – this recipe makes a party-worthy 4+ cups. Cut the recipe in half for a smaller portion.
- 6 ripe avocados – mashed
- 1 medium red onion – diced/minced (about 1 cup)
- 2 jalapeños – seeded; minced
- Bunch of cilantro – shave off leaves from stems the best you can; ok to have some stems; chop the leaves (about ¾ cup – 1 cup loosely packed)
- Juice of 2 limes – (about 3 Tablespoons)
- 4 teaspoons garlic – minced (about 4 cloves)
- Coarse sea salt to taste – (I used about 1 ½ – 2 teaspoons; using coarse sea salt is a game-changer)
- Optional: A bit of cayenne pepper if you want more heat
- Optional: A bit of garlic salt if you want more garlic and salt
Mix all ingredients together and chow down with tortilla chips… or a spoon 🙂

DELICIOUS! I need to hit the grocery store ASAP.
Yum! Thanks for the feature. I’ve decided I’m living on this in my retirement years (or maybe my next career as a hip hop artist).
